Photos of Fire and Message from Rama

I am deeply grateful to everyone who is sending messages of love and support. Master Yoga only exists because of your yoga practice. We can create a new facility only with your help.

Our Board of Directors and fantastic staff have been working on the many aspects of this challenge since the news of the disaster. This is the third of our updates so far, as we work to keep you in the know - this one has photos.

Our first priority is to create temporary quarters for the upcoming courses beginning September 16. We will be running the September 16-21 Embodyment® Yoga Therapy Training at Soul Source Yoga (Clair Oaks' studio) in Swarthmore PA and the September 23-28 Embodyment® training at the Rehoboth Beach Yoga Center in Rehoboth Beach DE. For the remaining upcoming trainings, we already have a couple of local options and will continue to search, so we have several to choose from - to find the best location that will work for everyone's travel and housing plans. The Board has also been discussing our long-term facility needs, which have been on the back burner since we moved to Pennsylvania. We will keep you up-to-date each step of the way.

Meanwhile, our trainings and our November Conference, "Outside & Inside," are continuing without a gap. Because the news was such a shock, you may have forgotten that the early registration deadline for "Outside & Inside" is September 15th. It's time to make your plans - so take a look at your conference brochure now!

To see photos of the fire, students in the vichara course, the fire inspectors, and my arrival on the scene, click here. You can think of this as "looking back - at history."

And by clicking here , you can download a copy of the conference brochure. Many people have told us that they did not receive it by mail, so I thought this would be the best way for you to be "looking ahead - at your future."

For myself, I have been asked to describe my reaction. My best ability to describe it is that I don't have a reaction. I see that there is a lot of work to do, and that there are lessons to be learned. I understand the purifying power of fire, and am grateful for this unique and wonderful form of grace. And I am still digesting the events.

Perhaps another way I can describe it is this. I had planned a personal retreat to begin the day after the vichara course ended, and am on that retreat now. I am in Varanasi, India. I am meditating at the cremation ghats every morning and evening. I know the power of being burned by the fire, and the incredible affirmation of life that is there in the ashes. All this is contained in our little blaze, and more. I look forward watching the next chapter blossom forth!

Namaste,

Rama
